You Don't Need Page 1 On Google To Make Money

One thing everyone seems to make a big deal about when it comes to making money online is getting page 1 on Google for their search terms.

While it will help you, it shouldn't be your main concern. Your main concern should be how can I optimize this site for conversions and how can I provide value on my site. If you optimize your site for human visitors you're more likely to get more traffic in the long run. The reason for this is that more people will link to your content and share it on social media sites because you provided that value to the visitor.

I recently got one of my sites to page 1 of Google after about a month of the site being live and I have yet to see a difference in results from that page one listing. The point is if that keyword you work so hard to rank for ends up being a bust then you just wasted a bunch of time and money.

On the other hand if you aimed to provide a great user experience and got direct traffic from several sources then you're likely to see results regardless of where your site ranks in the search engines.
